Elsamma Enna Aankutty fame Ann Augustine in Saji Surendran's Movie

After the good debut in 'Elsamma Enna Aankutty', Ann Augustine will play the lead role in the new Saji Surendran Film.

The movie which will be scripted by Saji Surendran's regular scriptwriter Krishna Poojappura, will have Fazil's son Fahad Fazil in the lead role. Fahad Fazil had earlier played the lead in his debut film ‘Kaiyetthum Doorathu’ which was a downer at the Box Office. 

To be produced by Manian Pillai Raju, the movie will also feature Lalu Alex, Siddiq, Innocent and Suraj Venjaramoodu in important roles. Saji Surendran will kick off the shoot by February 2011. Meanwhile, Ann Augustine is presently in the sets of 'Arjunan Saakshy' with Prithviraj as her hero.

Malayalam Movie Race is Coming

 

Following the likes of the Hindi thriller with the same name, a Mollywood movie titled 'Race' is briskly in its making. The movie scheduled to hit theaters this January will have Kunchako Boban, Indrajith, Mamtha Mohandas, Baby Ankitha and Jagathi Sreekumar in the lead roles.

Kukku Surendran is directing the movie, which will have Kunchakko Boban as Dr Aby John. He with his small family of wife Niya and daughter Anu. They were leading a peaceful life, until a sinister turn suddenly for a mysterious reason.

The movie which will move on to a thrilling climax will have music by Viswajith. ‘Race’ is produced under the banner of Pentavision by Jose K George and Shaji Mecheri.

Amitabh Bachan to Promote Grand Kerala Shopping Festival

In a interesting turn of events, the government of Kerala has now agreed to feature Amitabh Bachchan in the advertisements to promote state sponsored programmes.

Amitabh Bachchan whose offer to promote Kerala Tourism was earlier turned down by the Left government of Kerala due to his endorsing of Narendra Modi’s Gujarat government. Amitabh is seen in the promotional advertisements of the current year's Grand Kerala shopping Festival. The veteran will be seen with Superstar Mohanlal in print advertisements with the tagline ''Hold on. I am coming too,'' as their film together 'Kandahaar' is one of the main brands promoted at the festival. The festival which started on December first will continue for the entire month.

The state government is even now not admitting this to be a sweet revenge from the veteran Hindi star, but is explaining that it is just another promotional campaign of a festival for which government has not much say on its commercial side.

New Malayalam film '4-Friends' to start soon

After the hit films, 'Ivar Vivahitharayal' and 'Happy Husbands' director Saji Surendran is back with this thirs film. This new film, which is titled as '4-Friends' will feature Jayaram, Kunchakko Boban, Jayasurya and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles.

Just like the director's earlier films, the script for this film also will be handled by the script writer Krishna Poojappura. This film will have ace cameraman Anil Nair and will be shooted in the exotic locations in the abroad.

This new film will be produced by the Tomichan of Mulakupaadam release and may get released by this year's Christmas itself..

Yet another sequel from Malayalam film industry......

The latest news to hear from the Malayalam film industry is that the evergreen hit film Mookkilla Rajyathu is going to have a sequel. This film that got released in the earlier 90's featured Mukesh, Siddique, Jagathy Sreekumar and Thilakan in the lead role. The film was directed by Thaha.

It seems to be the season of sequels to popular Malayalam films of the 80’s and 90’s. The sequel for the earlier film will be directed by Thaha again and will have Mukesh, Siddique, Jagathy Sreekumar who starred in the earlier part along with Suraj Venjaramoodu, Lal and Jagadeesh.

This new untitled film will start it's shooting from August and this film will feature a newcomer as the heroine of it..
