Surya's Aadhavan Coming this diwali

The Kerala rights of the Suriya's new movie ‘Aadhavan’ was sold at a record price of 1.25 crores. This is the highest amount a Suriya movie is fetching as the Kerala rights. Directed by K S Ravikumar and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, the movie will feature the star in dual roles with Nayantara, Saroja Devi and Vadivelu in supporting roles. The actor is appearing as 10 year old in a portion and a character among the two, will be shown as a tough baddie with negative shades. ‘Aadhavan’ will feature six hit songs by Harris Jayaraj.

Suriya's recent movies were all big success stories in Kerala. His previous release 'Ayan' was a bumper hit in the state which ran to 100 days in a few centres. The movie covered two seasons with a steady collection. His other big hits in the state include ‘Kakkha Kakkha’ and ‘Ghajini’ which ran into hundred days in many centres.

Suriya’s other movies like ‘Varanam Aayiram’ also ran to fifty days in a couple of theatres. The actor has now emerged as the Tamil star with most number of fans in Kerala. His ability to mould himself for different types of characters of different age groups have attracted the youths. His six pack abs is also a craze among his fans who had put up flex boards beside every gymnasium in townships.

Anyhow, the movie will have to make a stiff fight against the Malayalam biggies like ‘Pazhassi Raja’ and ‘Angel John’ which will get into theatres by the time. ‘Aadhavan’ will go for a big release in 80 theatres on the 16th of this month, coinciding with the Diwali season in Tamil Nadu.
